Journey to me from you

Writer's picture: handson cinemahandson cinema
From the cozy clouds of faded blue
The lonesome stroke of sun
Peeking into the handsome trees of green
The red bridge read
Not to pass by but to nearby -

From the racy roads of faded grey
The hurried texture of time
Sneaking into my mind's echoes
The dread thoughts spoke
Of nothing but everything -

To the crack that pretended to split light
How far it is that we need to go
Lushy air smells of those moments -
Of hovering lips,
Of her widow's peak
Of it's timeless fragrance
We 've got to pass fast
Before the split closes into
The black, vicious,
And the dark, suspicious

As the moving car lights
Remoulds your face
Every time I glance
How many more of 'you'
Do I have to feel

Before the road opens to that split of light
Or perhaps,
Until we pass out in the endless tunnel
Or perhaps,
Until we finish reading each other's poems
Destined to be writing to each other
As the grey clouds swap to blue roads
To lonesome trees to handsome summer sun.
